How To Change Snow Height in Scene

Introduction

There are two places to access snow settings in UI to set both general and advanced settings for the snow distribution in scene.

 

Step 1 – Select VFX Tab

For this purpose you must first refer to the section “VFX Tab” on “TerraWorld User Interface”.

Step 2 – Snow Section

In this section you can easily switch snow On or Off

Step 3 – Snow Setting

Toggle Snow rendering in scene
Height Range(M): Minimum & Maximum starting height of snow in meters
Start Height: Staring height of the snow on surface
Height Falloff: Height Falloff for the starting point of the snow on surface
Background Terrain: Switch On/Off snow on background terrain

Step 4 – Go to “Start Height” section

The default value for snow start height is 3000 meters from sea-level. You can easily change the height of the snow inside the scene by changing this number

– This is the view with default parameter of 3000 meters for snow height

– Now you can change height to your desired value with real-time feedback. In this case we set the value of snow start height to be 350 meters

Advance Settings

For this purpose you must first refer to the section “Terrain Tab” on “TerraWorld User Interface”.

Step 1 – Go to Rendering Section

Step 2 – Procedural Snow Section

Click on “Rendering” toggle, it will reveal rendering settings for the terrain. Then go to “Procedural Snow” section
