I used to treat progression in MLB The Show as background noise. Play a few games, get a tiny bump, move on. That's not how it works in 26. On higher difficulties, that break is the difference between a dot on the black and a hanger that gets launched. I've had way more success taking a wild strikeout arm and running Control, just to stop the random four-pitch walks that ruin tight games.

Fast PXP without losing your weekend

Parallel Level 5 is 10,000 PXP, and it's not just "play a lot." You'll be doing missions too, like 30 stolen bases or 200 innings. If you want efficiency, stay offline: Mini Seasons and Conquest let you lock into repeatable matchups and keep momentum. For steals, the double-steal trick still works: put a burner on second and your slow target on first, send both, and the CPU usually panics and throws to third, gifting you the bag at second. Also, hunt weak-armed catchers; it's basically free progress.

Difficulty and setup make the grind

Rookie is comfy, but it's slow. PXP scales hard with difficulty in 26, so a decent plate appearance on Hall of Fame or Legend can outpay a cheap homer on Rookie. Stack that with a custom high-elevation park and short fences, rotate in the guys who still need missions, and equip lower-tier mods early so every inning counts.
